Curriculum
 

The course will consist of classes related to physical care skills which will include activities of daily living (ADL), basic nursing skills and restorative skills. Psychosocial skills and the role of the nurse aide will be taught. 

Students can choose either the day class or evening class option.  

Program Hours
64 lecture hours  
16 hours clinical

Day Class:

Mondays & Tuesdays live online lectures-9:00am to 2:00pm

Wednesdays on campus class: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Evening Class:

Mondays & Tuesdays live online lectures-4:00pm to 9:00pm

Wednesdays on campus class: 4:00-9:00 pm.

 

Both options will have two (2) 8 hour clinical-day shift

Dr. Portia Travis College of Nursing Assistant is licensed by the Mississippi Commission on Proprietary School and College Registration. Certificate #739.

Licensure indicates only that minimum standards have been met; it is not an endorsement or guarantee of quality. Licensure is not equivalent to or synonymous with accreditation by an accrediting agency or recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
